Eli's birthday books
Eli wanted to personally thank his Nana and Grandma for the birthday books he received. He thinks that they rock and so far, he has only destroyed one and damaged two; so three out of six are completely intact. Reader, you would be shocked at how many hours a week I spend duct taping, gluing and just generally repairing Eli's books. I should start a rambunctious children's book repair shop. Anyway, I really think books are the best baby shower, birthday and anytime gift that anyone can give to a child. Kids don't grow out of them nearly as fast as they do clothes--and most kids don't destroy them as quickly as mine does. Thank you Nana and Grandma for the wonderful books.
PS This is what happened when I tried to get Eli to look at the camera and smile

He is such a handsome little boy! Awesome that he loves books too! He's going to be a smart like his mom and dad!
That's funny... that's exactly what Taylor does when I try to get him to look and smile at the camera too.
I love that kid! We can't wait to see you guys in a couple of weeks. We would LOVE to have you stay at our house.
My testimony of two things just increased: blogs, and babies. It is so fun to see pictures of him (and you guys)and feel like I'm part of your life more than 3 times a year! And he's so darn cute I just want one...
Oh my, he is getting so big!! I haven't been on your blog in a while and i forget how much i love to read it! You guys look like you are loving California!
